Burning Your Passion- In Glass

Have you ever wondered what Glass artists think when they create a piece? Are they art producing machines? There are some, but that is what differentiates artists from artists and piece from piece.

Agnethe Maagaard, from Denmark, is one of those artists that reflects her dreams in her own artwork.

“IF YOU HAVE A DREAM - THEN GO FOR IT!- MY ART FULFILLS MY DREAM... - I tell a story. -I think in images; this is not just a plate. It is picture, an image.I "paint" with glass; cut it into shapes and colors - and add it to my palette like brush strokes."

This is the artists with one of her pieces.

The Water Piece below is simply a dream trip inside a turbulent sea.

The RED PASSION is inspired by conflicting feelings- A struggle between love and hate, a struggle between evil thoughts and good thoughts. A mix of emotions burned in glass.

The FISH Piece is inspired by Ocean life and the interesting shapes and creatures in reflects.

Maagaard's work, like all great artist, is simply alive. It tells a story, it reports a dream, it reflects a feeling, it places an imagine in front of a passion and more importantly creates the need to look at it and reflect on what it means to each one of us.
.
Agnethe Maagaard will have some of her Art pieces displayed at chez Moi.
